Chrisann Palmieri (she/her) is a CNM/WHNP whose passion for birth started early in life. Once she learned about nurse-midwives in nursing school, she knew her true path.
Chrisann graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and later completed her Master’s degrees in Midwifery and Women’s Health at Georgetown University.
After experiencing a traumatic birth of her own, Chrisann aimed to become a fierce and compassionate patient advocate both as a nurse and a midwife. She strongly believes in trauma-informed, patient centered care. She gained experience with all manner of birth - in hospital and birth center settings - in a private midwifery practice followed by time teaching OBGYN resident physicians how to exemplify trauma-informed care and support patient autonomy. She also specializes in trauma-informed GYN care, including general wellness, contraception, and affirming care of the LGBTQ+ community.
In her downtime, Chrisann lives locally with her husband and 3 kids, including adolescent boy/girl twins and a younger son. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family in the beautiful Poconos at their favorite campground.
