Kimberly M. Maher, MSN, CNM

Director of Midwifery

“I am a bulldog for client choice. My goal is to educate my clients enough to empower them to feel confident in making decisions regarding their families. I will support a client's right to make an educated decision at all times. Even when the choice made is not what I would clinically suggest I will stand with their right to choose. It is my job to hold space for these families. The transition to parenthood can be very scary and I will always hold a safe space for them to complete their journey.”

Kim graduated from UMDNJ with her MSN. She then worked for a large midwifery practice. Now, with thousands of births over the past 10 years she has opened her own practice. She provides the individual attention that can not be provided by some of the larger, busier practices in the area. Taking a holistic approach to women’s healthcare, Kim provides education and information to guide women making important health and wellness decisions.

She lives locally with her husband, twin daughters and son. Kim truly has a deep understanding of the client’s perspective after having undergone an unplanned belly birth followed by an unmedicated vaginal birth after cesarean.

Alixandra Borst, CNM/WHNP

Alixandra (Ali) Borst, CNM/WHNP received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from William Paterson University. Prior to becoming a midwife, Ali worked as an emergency room nurse in Greenville, SC and a NICU nurse at Morristown Memorial Center. She earned her Master's Degree in Midwifery and Women's Health from Georgetown University. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.

Ali is passionate about walking beside patients during one of the most vulnerable moments of their life. She believes every patient deserves compassionate quality healthcare, especially throughout pregnancy and birth. She believes in empowering patients and partnering with them to make true informed decisions about their healthcare. Because of her own very difficult journey to motherhood, Ali feels she brings a unique perspective to her role as a midwife.

Ali lives with her husband and beautiful daughter Sophia with a new baby on the way. She loves spending time with family as well as running.

Chrisann Palmieri, CNM/WHNP

Chrisann Palmieri (she/her) is a CNM/WHNP whose passion for birth started early in life. Once she learned about nurse-midwives in nursing school, she knew her true path.

Chrisann graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and later completed her Master’s degrees in Midwifery and Women’s Health at Georgetown University.

After experiencing a traumatic birth of her own, Chrisann aimed to become a fierce and compassionate patient advocate both as a nurse and a midwife. She strongly believes in trauma-informed, patient centered care. She gained experience with all manner of birth - in hospital and birth center settings - in a private midwifery practice followed by time teaching OBGYN resident physicians how to exemplify trauma-informed care and support patient autonomy. She also specializes in trauma-informed GYN care, including general wellness, contraception, and affirming care of the LGBTQ+ community.

In her downtime, Chrisann lives locally with her husband and 3 kids, including adolescent boy/girl twins and a younger son. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family in the beautiful Poconos at their favorite campground.
